These are used for setting up your upper axle link of the rear of your Toyota 8". The ID mounting surface is adjustable from 2" to 2 5/8" for 3/4", 7/8" and 1 1/4" rod ends with misalignments. These are made out of 1/4" thick material with a 9/16" hole so you can drill them out to a larger diameter if needed.
Mounting your rod ends with this bracket will give more more triangulation than the standard way others have done it in the past. Most used a bracket or tabs that locate the bolts horizontally, by mounting them vertically you will get an extra 3" closer together if you are using a 1 1/4" rod end. You will not need to worry about the rod ends maxing out on articulation because as your axle drops down the pinion angle should be designed to point up toward your output on your t-case. Another benefit of running this bracket is the primary load is distributed on the majority of the bearing making them last longer. Running them the other direction will only give you 25%-35% of surface area on the bearing.
